Funky Atlanta Charm! Loved this so much from friendly service to incredible healthy choices for eating clean, grain-free or vegan. We had quinoa bowls and the flavors were delicious, portions large and atmosphere fun! They have parrots and cockatoos outside as you enter greeting you with friendly “Hellooos!” Wonderful menu! We need to return so we can try everything! Oh! I need to mention the almond milk latte was Wonderful!!

Food was delicious, and the Frosted Champ smoothie was yummy! Although the dish was tasty, I do wish the quinoa in the Mediterranean Bowl was a bit drier (less sauce), as it ended up being a tad too tangy for my taste. I also loved petting the cockatoos , Peaches and Cream, through the cage and wish I could spend more time with them outside of it! Update: we came back again; my husband ordered the same thing as last time (Portobello Linguine) - he couldn’t get enough! I ordered the Thai Express Bowl this time, and it was so delicious with fresh crisp veggies. We both also ordered the Frosted Champ smoothies again - it ended up being too sweet for me, but they kindly remade it for me, twice! They really went out of their way to make it fit my taste, I felt a bit bad that they had to remake it twice but was very grateful. What an amazing service!

    R. Thomas Deluxe Grill – Atlanta, GA First off – can we talk about the entrance?! You’re welcomed by parrots and cockatoos like you’ve stepped into a tropical foodie oasis. Love that energy! The menu is massive and caters to literally everyone – vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, you name it. Everything is made fresh and bursting with flavor. I went for the Lady Bug Yerba Mate (apple, lemon & honey) – light, refreshing, and such a perfect starter sip. Then came the Grilled Veggies & Raw Hummus – zucchini, portobello, carrots, peppers, all marinated and chargrilled to perfection, served with raw hummus + tortillas. Flavor city! And because I couldn’t resist, I grabbed the R’s Meatless Loaf to go – loaded with peppers, onions, garlic, topped with a spicy tomato reduction, plus creamy mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, and garlicky green beans. Comfort food vibes turned vegan magic. Big shoutout to Mike, the server – super friendly, guided me through the menu, and made sure I didn’t over-order (the struggle is real here ). This spot is fun, unique, and downright delicious. If you’re in Atlanta, R. Thomas is a must. 10/10, already planning my next trip back!

My first time coming back here in 10 years! I can’t believe I waited that long because I definitely forgot how good the food was . I had the vegan meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy and the garlicky greens, plus a teriyaki bowl. First of all let me just say everything tasted delicious, fresh and full of flavor. The meatloaf was hearty without being heavy, (mind you, I didn’t eat breakfast) the mashed potatoes were the right consistency and fluffy, and the greens had that perfect savory, crunch kick. The teriyaki bowl was a great balance and the sauce was everything!! It was loaded with veggies, and super satisfying. The funky, tropical vibe of the restaurant reminds me of Miami, in Atlanta. The cockatoos outside are the cutest surprise! I forgot they were there!! They’re super friendly, and yes, you can pet them. I’m definitely coming back!

Best food I've had since moving to Georgia. This has got to be one of Atlanta's hidden gems. I had the meatless meat loaf with mashed potatoes and green beans, and an apple, pear, fennel drink. When I say delish....it was seasoned to perfection, and a hearty serving, the drink was light and refreshing. My 8 year old actually cleaned her plate!! Our server Sean was also very personable, and friendly. I can't wait until I'm in the area again.

I used to come here often back in 2008–2010 when I was in college, and returning after all these years felt like a wave of nostalgia. The quirky, artsy, 70s, Meowulf vibe is still alive and well, complete with the cockatoos out front. We were welcomed right away and the service was excellent throughout our meal. I ordered the fish tacos, which were fantastic, and the staff kindly split the dish for my wife and me just as we asked. The food still tastes just as good as I remembered, though I was a little disappointed to see the smoothie with bee pollen gone from the menu. My only real gripe is with parking, the lot in the back is steep and tricky, especially at night. Take it slow if you’re driving down there. Overall, high marks!
